"Made with 10% whole bunches and matured in French puncheons (33% new). A medium ruby, with an attractive bouquet of red cherries, raspberries and light forest-floor scents together with a little incense. Good concentration on the medium-bodied and well-balanced palate. The tannins are velvety and persistent, and at this price, you've got a wine that can be enjoyed now but will still be drinking well three to five years from now." Sourced from the cooler North Eastern slope of the Denton View Hill. The majority of the fruit is from Block 6 at the bottom of the hill nearest to the winery with the addition this year of a portion from the Close Planted block at the top of the hill. Pretty impressive stuff too and made by one othe Yarra's winemaking talents Luke Lambert.
