Kitajima Sake Brewery was established in 1805 and is one of Japan's oldest and most respected sake breweries, situated in the beautiful Shiga Prefecture near Lake Biwa. Their highly crafted range is unique and distinctive with a palate that is much richer and fruitier than the average sake.

Mokachu (mo-kuh-chew) usesdark roast Arabica beans and artisanal cocoa steeped in rice
shōchū (show-chew). Serve chilled, up or over ice, naked or layered with fresh whipped
cream. Pour over vanilla icecream for an arigatou affogato!
Nose: Intense bitter dark chocolate combined with the bold aromatic complexity of
dark-roasted East African coffee beans.
Palate: Rich cocoa, burnt caramel, vanilla bean, roasted hazelnut followed by a mellow
rice shochu warmth that spreads.
Finish: Delicate, clean, with a soft cocoa-coffee fade.
